GALICIA
Excursions and explorations to Santiago de Compostela, the capital city of Galicia, are a good beginning to know the province of A Coruña. From here
we need more or less 30 minutes to reach the coast, where the Rias Baixas begin.
Here there are medieval villages of
fishermen like Noia, Porto do Son and
Muros. Also it is worth the trouble to
visit the “Coast of Death", on the
North, where many lighthouses can be
seen. For example, in Fisterra, whose light marked by many hundreds of years the end of land. Corcubión,
Camariñas and Corme-Laxe are other
villages of fishermen worth visiting.
They offer a grate
opportunity for the most appreciated
dish of the gastronomy of Galicia –
goose barnacles. Throughout the Rias Altas, located in the septentrional coast of Galicia, are cities like A Corunna, Betanzos, Ferrol, Pontedeume, Viveiro and Ribadeo.
